Welcome to Montessori House

At Montessori House, located in St. Louis, Missouri, we believe education is about so much more than acquiring knowledge—it’s about fostering a lifelong love of learning and developing the whole child.

Guided by the inspiring work of Dr. Maria Montessori, our environment is founded in respect and honors each child’s
unique journey to independence.

Our prepared environment gives children ages ~6 months to 3 years the freedom to explore, engage in self-directed activities, and build essential skills in a safe, warm space.

By developing the whole child, our children lay the foundation for success in academics and in life beyond the classroom.

Why Montessori House?

Montessori House occupies the entire main floor of a residential duplex. Our unique setup offers an authentic Montessori environment in the comfort of a residential space. With only ten children and 3 adults, our smaller-than-required ratios allow us to cater to each child’s individual needs and support growth of the whole child. St. Louis Montessori Daycare

Families looking for a St. Louis Montessori Daycare will find a one-of-a-kind program at Montessori House. Operating out of a residential space, our small group size offers socialization on a comfortable scale, without the corporate feel of large centers. It’s the perfect place for the very young child to explore confidently, while gaining interpersonal skills and developing their personality just as it was meant to be. Whether or not you plan to continue your child’s education with Montessori, a strong foundation using the Montessori principles will set your child up for success no matter where life takes them.

What Parents Are Saying

Montessori House provides the perfect environment that has the benefits of an in-home daycare with the right education, coordination, and classroom set-up of a more traditional facility. They create a lovely Montessori environment for the kids, work well with families with extra needs, and are always communicative, on-time, and thoughtful. We’ve loved our time at Montessori House

Montessori house was a great and loving place for my daughter to attend! She gained a lot of independence and self confidence while she was there and I felt comfortable knowing she was in a caring place. It’s also worth mentioning that the cleanliness and organization are top tier!

Sara M.

Our daughter has loved her time at Montessori House! We appreciate their approach to Montessori care and how much she has learned during her time there. We also appreciate the attention she receives because of the great adult-to-child ratio. MH has been a great stepping stone for our daughter’s development.

Our Philosophy

At Montessori House, we believe children thrive when they are given the freedom to explore, the confidence to try and the space to learn.

Montessori House has been incredible for our son who is almost 2. Karen and her team are amazing. They’re excellent communicators and have always been accommodating to our son’s needs. Karen is Montessori credentialed and has a deep understanding of child development which has been SO helpful as a first-time parent. On top of that, our son absolutely LOVES Montessori House. He’s learned so much since starting and their program has given him the confidence to be more independent. Another major bonus is that the routine they have established at school has really set us up for potty training at home. Highly recommend!!!
